Invitation to a Doctoral Thesis Discussion

The Graduate Studies Center is pleased to announce the doctoral thesis of researcher AHMAD MOUSA A ALAHMAD, who has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Sharia and Law with a grade of Excellent with First-Class Honors. The awarding of this degree recognizes the academic quality and contribution of his research.

The thesis is entitled: “The Impact of Using Modern Technologies on the Legal Framework for the Administration of Waqf and Civil Associations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: An Analytical, Foundational, and Comparative Study.” It examines the relationship between contemporary technological developments and the legal structures that govern the administration of waqf institutions and civil associations in the Kingdom.

Research Focus and Significance

The research addresses an increasingly important question: how can modern technologies be used in the administration of charitable and community-serving institutions while remaining consistent with the applicable legal framework? By bringing together analytical, foundational, and comparative approaches, the thesis considers the principles and regulations relevant to this subject and explores their implications for institutional practice.

Waqf and civil associations have an important role in supporting social welfare and community development. As administrative processes evolve, examining the legal considerations surrounding technology use can help clarify responsibilities, support sound governance, and contribute to effective and accountable management. The thesis offers an academic perspective on these issues within the Saudi Arabian context.

In recognition of the thesis’s scholarly merit, the committee recommended that the research be printed. This recommendation reflects the value of making its findings and analysis available to a wider academic and professional audience.

Thesis Discussion Committee

The thesis was considered by a committee comprising Ahmed Saleh, serving as supervisor and rapporteur; Iman Al-Aoqda, serving as examiner; and Ahmed Atiah, serving as examiner. Their academic review and assessment formed part of the evaluation of the research and its contribution to the field of Sharia and law.

The committee’s roles encompass supervision and examination of the work, providing an opportunity to assess its subject, methodology, and conclusions. The recommendation to print the thesis further highlights the committee’s recognition of its academic significance.
